Mom blog heaven

Today I came across a very cool blog directory.  It’s called The Mom Blogs.  There are tons of categories and you can list your blog in up to three of them.

I’m having a great time browsing through the Work At Home category and discovering some fantastic blogs.

Squidoo!!!!

I just discovered a very cool site:  Squidoo.  It’s a great companion for blog sites.  If you enjoy blogging, you can make money doing this or donate to your favorite charity.

I just made my first lens.  Please take a look and leave me some comments :)

Oh, and thanks to Emily’s Creative Solution To Boredom and Brokedom for turning me on to Squidoo.

blogging for business

I often hear from readers who have a terrific idea for an online business, but they just don’t know where to start.  Unless you know html, the idea of building a website can be pretty daunting.  Unfortunately, this results in great ideas never coming to fruition.  It’s really too bad that some people never realize their home business dream simply because they’re intimidated by the idea of building a website.

Enter the blog.  A blog can be a great alternative to building a website.  Sites like Wordpress.com offer an easy to use (and free) platform.  There’s no end to the customization options and templates so you can personalize your blog to reflect the image and branding appropriate to your business.

I stumbled upon a blog today that talks about using a blog for your business in detail.  It got me thinking about what possibilities blogs hold for business owners.

I’m new to this whole blogging thing but let me tell you, it’s fun!  I’m still learning how to get the full benefit of this excellent networking tool, but so far it’s opened up a whole new world to me.  I know, I know– I’m way behind the curve here, but better late than never right?
