Working from home doesn’t always have to mean working at home. My husband reminded me recently that I can work from anywhere I want. Although it’s terribly convenient to work from my home most of the time, sometimes a change of scenery is just what’s needed.
I hate to admit this, but sometimes I just can’t think of anything to write about. Those are the days that I should pack up the laptop and head out to the nearest hot spot. Today, I’m at Starbucks. My husband was right…this is really nice. It smells really good in here and they’re playing some decent music. I have a nice, comfy chair and the few other people in here are producing a pleasant (but not distracting) murmur.
A while back I wrote a post on extreme telecommuting, that is people who take telecommuting to a whole other level. Anthony Page, The Working Nomad, does just what the name implies….he works while he roams the earth.
Here’s a guy who has telecommuted from some pretty odd places. He even has a picture of The “restroom” of his telecommuting “office”. There’s even a group over at Flickr called Extreme Netbooking.

This is just wrong.
Have you telecommuted from any interesting places?
