I've tried some of those sites myself, but unless you can produce large volume for free or are writing about a popular topic, it can be difficult to earn decent money. I know some people have had great success with those sites and they are good for raising your profile, but I stand by my words, having learned the hard way that 75% of nothing is nothing. With revenue share sites, you are dependent on the promotional efforts of others. On sites with thousands of articles, there's no guarantee that enough people will see them. However, if you are getting started and want to get published clips online, then those sites can be useful.
