hi, can anyone tell me how Lionbridge pays the internet assessors? I’ve heard they ask for your bank account details – is this safe?

@Brenda, I am waiting to hear back from Lionbridge. However, I have done some research and found a company called Appen Butler Hill ( http://www.appbenbutlerhill.com/freelance_work ). I believe their freelance search relevance evaluator position may be similar. I have not applied there, so no idea if they have any restrictions on hiring assessors from other sites, but I don’t see anything on Lionbridge that would mean you could not check it out. Good luck!

I just finished my second month working for LionBridge. I passed both exams the first time, but I really studied hard! I think it’s great! My only complaint is that they ran out of tasks about a week and a half ago, so I’ve not had any work lately. After doing a little research, I discovered that it’s not unusual for them to run out of tasks toward the end of the month. This job isn’t for everyone. You are only allowed to report the time that you are actually IN the program rating. The job often requires LOTS of research and you can’t charge them for this. It works for me because I live in a rural area and it’s impossible for me to find a regular job here. This is ideal for ME! I’m retired and all I have is TIME, so I don’t mind the research I can’t get paid for. I would love to find another job similar to this, to fill in when I run out of tasks on LionBridge. However, I don’t think you are allowed to work for both LionBridge and LeapForce at the same time. Does anyone know of other companies???

The worst job I know, worked 3 weeks from FEB to March, 20-30hours per week, but they just want to pay 12 hours in total. I said ok, I quit and just pay on your expectations, but I did not get any payment till now. If you have any other choice, don’t do this work

I think the best way to pass part 2 is actually do the sample exam before the real exam. The sample exam helps a lot, and it tells you what they are expecting for their tasks. Studying the whole guide is time consuming, so I skimmed through the guide, and then I opened up the exam and the pdf file side by side. For first half of the part 2, I used the search function in the pdf file to look up keywords appear on the exam. That way I save a lot of reading and I actually learn the skills during the exam. The exam becomes very easy at the end. Well, I passed it.

After NOT passing the LB 144 query exam I am very disappointed. Did anybody get a score and does anybody have any hints for passing this thing. Like some of the other posters, I ain’t no dummy and live on the Internet so I thought I would have passed easily (I also actually STUDIED the general guidelines – all 160 pages)! Please let me know how you guys were able to pass.

I actually have been referred to this opportunity by a friend of mine whose boyfriend is apparently working from home with Leapforce. He does not have any complaints about it. It works for him and his schedule. Basically when it comes to home businesses, you have to find the one that works for you. Let’s be honest, obviously not all of them will. So I am going to give it a try anyway. It either will work for me or it won’t. Thanks.
