I can honestly say I would take a pay cut in a heartbeat. There is nothing greater than working from home around your children’s needs.

Children grow up entirely too fast and the majority of your life will be spent without them in the home. Why not be there as much as possible for them?

I work from home, have a successful business and income and I love doing what I do. I still fit in the children, their sports, their doctor’s appointments etc but all on my terms. It’s wonderful to have freedom.

I would want to see that research about taking some pay cuts to work at home. People will be more productive if their homes are managed well and kids are ok and sometimes parents need to come home earlier to make sure everything is ok. This may apply to moms more than to dads. Another thing to consider is that you’d probably be saving money anyway by not having to commute, not eating lunch out, coffee, maybe saving on clothes and dry cleaning costs, etc.

While exiting, remember it takes hard work.

- Avoid any offer that promises you’ll make a lot of money for very little work.
- Don’t rely on a money-back guarantee. Con artists rarely give money back.
- Be wary of testimonials or endorsements.
- See if the Better Business Bureau has a Reliability Report on the company.
- Never give a credit card, debit card or checking account number to any person or company that promises employment. If they wantyou to pay them it’s a scam!
- Keep a positive attitude. You are likely to fail a few times before you learn the ropes.
