You are absolutely right. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve received emails from people who say things like, “can’t I just read emails from my home and get paid” or “why can’t I just find a simple typing job”. No matter what I advise them, they continue looking for a non-existent job.

The bottom line is that you either have to be (or get) qualified in the areas where the jobs are, or you need to be open to considering a home business. Although I was looking for a telecommute job when I first started searching, I’m glad now that I run my own business instead. Being in charge of my own destiny is not something I am willing to give up now, not for any job. But I realize that it’s not for everyone. Some people prefer having a structured environment and the perceived safety of working for a company.

All too often you see people on the Net wanting a job that will make them money immediately. Well…you and I know that in most cases, they are non-existent. You do have to have experience with most telecommute jobs. There are a select few that will hire without experience. But, it is rare.
