Great article. I am a reluctant entrepreneur who works as a medical transcriptionist. Even though working at home is lonely due to the isolation, selling myself--my skills, my abilities--has been the hardest thing for me to do. I think I'd rather undergo a root canal than actively market for new MT accounts. However, the Internet has changed all that. The Internet has been a great help, a terrific buffer against having to go get outside clients over and over again. People can find my website, request a quote and/or interview, and voila! What a great tool to use to get new clients!
